Derby Wheel

Derby Wheel is a video slot from Play’n GO that plays on a flashy 3×3 reel layout with five fixed paylines. The theme combines classic fruit symbols in neon style with the excitement of a game show and a futuristic horse race, complete with mechanical horses and the atmosphere of a live event. There are no wild symbols or a traditional free spins round; all the action is triggered by the Scatter symbol, the Big Wheel bonus, and the Horse Racing bonus.

When you land three Wheel Scatter symbols, the Fortune Wheel feature is activated: this wheel randomly decides whether you receive the Big Wheel bonus or the Horse Racing bonus. The Big Wheel bonus offers instant cash prizes, with multipliers of up to 200× your bet. If you land in this, it is possible to reactivate the Horse Racing feature through the Big Wheel.

In the Horse Racing feature, you can choose from four options: ‘No Bet’, where you receive a fixed prize (around 40× your bet) with no risk; ‘Win’, where you pick one horse hoping that horse wins; ‘Exacta’, where you must choose both the first and second horse in the correct order; and ‘Trifecta’, where you also need to predict the third horse in the correct order. The higher risk options offer the chance for larger payouts, with the top prizes in the Horse Racing feature significantly higher than in the base game.

The base game itself is simple: three identical fruit symbols award wins between 1× and 5× the bet, depending on the symbol. The real appeal lies in the bonus rounds, where the excitement and potential returns are much higher. The gaming experience is visually strong: bright neon colors, dynamic animations, and a show-like ambiance enhance the thrill of the wheel aspect and the race.

Derby Wheel does not offer a bonus buy option for direct access to the bonus features; activation must occur through the Scatter mechanism. The betting limits start low, and players can choose how much to bet within the allowed limits per spin. The volatility is high, making the bonus features crucial for players seeking larger payouts.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
