GemPops

GemPops is a video slot developed by AvatarUX that offers 5 reels with variable height – each reel can have between 3 and 7 symbol rows in the base game, and up to 8 rows in free spins. The game board can expand through so-called Popscades, where winning symbols disappear and are replaced by new ones falling from the top, while also expanding the reels. A new feature called Xpops can be randomly activated during Popscades to add between 1 and 4 extra symbol rows, increasing the potential for winning combinations.

Above each reel is a reel multiplier that increases by +1 for each symbol win on that reel. In the base game, it must reach maximum height (7 rows) before the multiplier starts to apply. In free spins mode, the multiplier transfers to a global multiplier when the reel reaches maximum height, which is then used on all future wins. Free spins are activated by 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols appearing: these award 5, 8, or 12 free spins, respectively, with a starting multiplier of x1, x3, or x5.

During the free spins round, special bomb symbols may appear, and these can award up to 3 extra free spins. When a bomb appears, full height is also triggered on the reel where the bomb landed, and the reel multiplier on that reel is activated immediately. The game offers a gamble feature (Gamble Wheel) right before free spins start, allowing players to bet to upgrade the number of free spins or the multiplier – but losses will result in the bonus feature being forfeited. In certain jurisdictions, it is also possible to use a Bonus Buy / XPRESS feature, allowing players to purchase entry into free spins or bonus wheels with predefined terms instead of waiting for scatters to appear.
