Life and Death

Life and Death, created by Hacksaw, is a video slot that consists of 6 reels and 5 rows, featuring 19 fixed paylines. The game is set against a dark fantasy backdrop inspired by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death, each represented with distinct colors on the reels in a mostly monochrome environment. Each Horseman acts as a Wild Multiplier symbol, offering varying multipliers, with the potential to reach as high as 200×. These Wilds are confined to the middle reels, specifically reels 2 to 5, and can expand into a Wild reel when they land on their corresponding colored reel as part of a winning combination.

Players can engage in two bonus rounds: Devastation and Reckoning Free Spins. To activate Devastation, players must land 3 scatter symbols, which awards 10 free spins and increases the chances of Wild Multipliers appearing. Reckoning, on the other hand, is triggered by 4 scatters, also granting 10 free spins while introducing “Death Reels.” When a Wild Multiplier appears on its designated reel, that reel becomes active, allowing all future Wilds from that Horseman to expand, regardless of their position on the four middle reels. Both bonus rounds offer the possibility of earning extra free spins if 2 or 3 scatters are revealed.

In certain regions, players have access to a Feature Buy option, which allows them to directly enter either Devastation or Reckoning, or to purchase spins that ensure Wild Multipliers or improve the chances of activating bonus rounds. The game offers a maximum win potential of up to 15,000× the bet and is marked by high volatility, with substantial payouts resulting from the combination of expanding Wild Reels and accompanying Wild Multipliers.
