AvatarUX has developed Spinfection, a video slot featuring a 7×7 grid that employs a cluster-pays system, where players need to connect five or more matching symbols either horizontally or vertically to achieve payouts. Set in a whimsical science-fiction laboratory, the game showcases Phil the Pill as the Wild symbol, who takes on various viruses and bacteria. When a cluster wins, the symbols vanish, triggering a cascading effect where the remaining symbols fall to fill the grid anew.
One of the standout elements of Spinfection is the Enhanced Multipop™ feature, which grants a x2 multiplier to the cells involved in a winning cluster, increasing by +1 for each subsequent win in those cells. When multipliers from different cells contribute to a cluster win, they combine for potentially larger payouts. Additionally, the Wild Spread feature allows the Wild to shift to an adjacent empty cell when part of a winning cluster, carrying its multiplier and potentially initiating chain reactions that can lead to substantial multipliers.
The game also includes a Bonus Game that activates when three Wilds land on the grid, and no further winning combinations are available, triggering a free spin round. During this bonus, all Wilds remain "sticky," ensuring they do not disappear between spins, while cell multipliers persist throughout the bonus phase. Spinfection offers a Feature Buy option, allowing players to purchase direct entry to the bonus round or enhance their chances of triggering it via an Ante Bet, along with options for free spins (5 or 10 spins) at elevated stakes.
With high volatility, the game boasts a maximum win potential of 10,000× the bet. The betting range varies, with a low minimum bet and a significantly higher maximum bet depending on the casino version. The integration of Multipop™, Wild Spread, and sticky persistent features results in an engaging gameplay experience filled with opportunities for considerable wins, particularly during the bonus phase.
You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
