Hammerstorm

Pragmatic Play presents Hammerstorm, a video slot inspired by Norse mythology, featuring elements like Thor’s hammer, lightning, and Viking imagery set against a backdrop of rocky fjords and longships. The game operates on a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 40 fixed paylines, showcasing classic Viking symbols such as helmets, shields, axes, gauntlets, horns, and lower-value royal icons. The Wild symbol, represented by Thor’s hammer, can substitute for regular symbols to assist in forming winning combinations.

The excitement escalates with the Respins feature, activated by gathering Red, Green, or Purple Lightning symbols during the base game, which unlock chests marked Double, Expand, or Spins, or by landing the Thor symbol on the first reel alongside at least one Lightning symbol. When Respins commence, the action transitions to a 5×5 grid filled exclusively with Coin or Lightning Money symbols, alongside blanks, while a 2×2 moving "collection zone" shifts randomly each respin to collect prizes.

As players gather Lightning Money symbols in Respins, a meter fills up. Reaching certain thresholds, such as collecting 5, 4, or 3 Lightning symbols, enlarges the collection zone to sizes of 3×3, 4×4, or 5×5, and grants additional respins. Gold versions of Coin and Lightning symbols can only appear when the Double modifier is active, paying double their value. The Expand modifier can also increase the grid size, potentially up to 7×6, enhancing winning opportunities. The Spins modifier allows Lightning symbols to carry “+1 Spin” icons, providing extra respins when collected.

Hammerstorm features Ante Bet options that enable players to wager more per spin to boost the likelihood of triggering the Respins feature. One Ante Bet ensures a Thor symbol appears on reel one, while another guarantees a minimum number of Lightning symbols each spin. The game’s maximum win potential is 10,000 times the bet, with the combination of modifiers, expanding grids, and the dynamic collection zone making the bonus round particularly appealing.
