3 Cursed Chests: Hold & Win

3 Cursed Chests: Hold & Win is a video slot from Hacksaw with a pirate and treasure map theme, where the notorious Anne Bonny takes you on an adventurous journey across the sea. The setup consists of 5 reels, 3 rows, and 17 fixed paylines, which feels familiar yet offers enough room for surprises. The game revolves around three colorful treasure chests above the reels: green, red, and blue. Each chest is charged by the appearance of the corresponding Pot symbols on the reels. Once a chest is charged, it can activate a special bonus after the spin.

When the green chest is activated, the Cursed Wilds Respin begins: regular symbols, Wilds, and Wild multipliers appear on the playing field. The red chest triggers the Cursed Coins Bonus, a Hold & Win-like mode with three lives (spins) that are replenished each time a Coin symbol lands. The Coins remain sticky and count towards the payout. The blue chest leads to the Cursed FS Respin, where only Dead symbols and FS (Free Spin) symbols can land; depending on how many FS symbols you collect, you unlock one of two Free Spins bonuses: Treasure Cove or Ghostly Gallows.

In the Free Spins bonuses, you usually receive between 7 and 15 free spins. During Treasure Cove, a chest is guaranteed to activate if the third Pot of the same color lands. In Ghostly Gallows, a combination of FS symbols and FS Upgrade symbols ensures that every Pot that lands immediately activates its chest, leading to quick bonus activations. Additionally, there is a Bonus Buy feature in this game that allows you to purchase direct access to certain bonus features like the Free Spins or one of the Bonus Games for a price (expressed as a multiple of your bet).

All in all, 3 Cursed Chests: Hold & Win offers a good mix of base spins, various Respins, Hold & Win elements, and choices between Free Spins modes, with enough variety to keep the game engaging.

You can play it for real money.
