“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live™ Game” is a five-reel, three-row video slot game developed by Playtech. The game initially offers 243 ways to win; with some bonus features, this can increase to 1,024 or 3,125 ways. The theme is inspired by the mini-series of The Walking Dead, “The Ones Who Live,” featuring a post-apocalyptic atmosphere and characters from the series, Rick, Michonne, and Thorne, at the center of the game.

The Wild symbol can substitute for normal paying symbols on the reels but cannot replace the Scatter symbol or the Coin symbols associated with the characters. When the Scatter symbol, the Helicopter symbol, appears three or more times on the reels, one of three character-based bonus features—Rick’s Escape, Michonne’s Journey, or Thorne’s Hunt—is triggered randomly.

Character Coins also play an important role in the game. Rick's red Coin, Michonne's green Coin, and Thorne's blue Coin symbols can be found in the main game; certain features may only display specific types of Coins. For example, when Michonne’s Free Games feature (Michonne’s Journey) is active, only green Coins appear, and each green Coin can also grant an additional free spin.

Rick’s Escape bonus is a “pick-style” round; you must find three matching prize tags to win one of the Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand jackpots by selecting zombies. The Grand jackpot is awarded based on specific multiples of the bet. With Thorne’s Hunt feature, using the Sniper Scope, you can transition to a direct cash prize, another character feature, or other bonuses.

When Michonne’s Journey feature starts, the player is awarded between 6 and 10 free game rights; in this feature, the ways to win increase and expand. The game does not have a Bonus Buy feature. The maximum win potential can reach approximately 2,000 times the bet amount, depending on the player's wager.
