Zapotec Gold

Zapotec Gold is a video slot from Ruby Play with 5 reels and 3 rows, as well as 50 fixed paylines. The game features a strong Mesoamerican theme, where the jungle, temples, ornaments, and artifacts from the ancient Zapotec civilization set the scene. Wild symbols can substitute for other symbols (except scatter and prizes) to help complete winning combinations.

There is a special "Prize" symbol type; when at least 6 of these appear in one round, the Jackpot Mania Ultra feature is activated, which utilizes the "Hold & Spin" mechanic. You start with one active screen and three locked; additional Prize symbols unlock more screens, and each new Prize symbol resets the number of respins to 3. The more screens you activate, the greater rewards you can achieve.

When 3 or more scatter symbols appear, the Choice Feature is triggered, where the player can choose between Free Games (free spins) with massive stacks of wilds or Jackpot Mania Ultra with all 4 screens unlocked. The Free Games round awards either 6, 9, or 15 free spins with 50, 100, or 200 extra wilds added to the reels, respectively.

The gameplay sensations are balanced: medium variance, regular chances for wins, and the possibility of large prizes, especially in the Jackpot Mania Ultra feature where filled screens can award Grand prizes. There is no bonus buy feature in Zapotec Gold – all bonus features must be triggered through scatter or prize symbols. The game can be tried in demo mode to get a feel for the mechanics before any potential stake.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
