Journey to the West

Pragmatic Play presents Journey to the West, a video slot featuring a layout of 5 reels and 3 rows, complemented by 25 fixed paylines, all set against a backdrop inspired by Asian mythology and the classic novel. The game showcases symbols representing four main characters: Wukong, the Monkey King, Xuanzang the monk, Zhu, and Sha, along with lower-value symbols depicting Chinese coins and characters. Wild and scatter symbols are integral to the gameplay, with the wild substituting for all regular symbols, while three or more scatter symbols activate the Free Spins feature. Once free spins commence, players select from five options, each linked to a specific stacked symbol—either one of the characters or the wild—and a win multiplier that can reach up to 5×. In the base game, all symbols, including characters, appear stacked on the reels, enhancing the likelihood of landing multiple matching symbols on adjacent reels, aside from scatters. The Free Spins round kicks off with 5 spins and can be retriggered by landing three or more scatters during the bonus, granting additional spins with the same chosen special symbol and multiplier. Under optimal conditions during the bonus round, Journey to the West allows for a maximum win of 400× the total bet. Bets can range from approximately 0.25 to 200 units, depending on the jurisdiction, and an autoplay feature is also available.
