Rusty & Curly

Rusty & Curly is a video slot from Hacksaw with a comedic Wild West theme where the two main characters Rusty and Curly are in the spotlight, along with their animal friends Crispy and Chewy. The game features 5 reels and 4 rows, as well as fixed paylines. Wild symbols in the form of "Wild Posters" can land with up to 3 hearts and with multipliers ranging from ×2 to ×10 in the base game. When at least one heart remains on any Wild Poster, respins are activated – each respin consumes one heart until the Wild Poster is removed.

There are two different bonus rounds: the first is called Stick to the Plan! and is triggered by getting 3 scatter symbols, which awards 6 free spins. During this bonus round, Wild Posters become more common, with more hearts and multipliers that can reach up to ×100. Respins continue as long as there is at least one heart remaining, and they do not count against the allocated free spins.

The second bonus is called Who Shot the Sheriff? and is activated by 4 scatter symbols. It awards 12 free spins divided into three cycles. Each cycle has a so-called Collect Phase where Rusty or Curly (or both) can expand to cover a reel and shoot at multiplier symbols on the playing field – each hit is added to their wild reel. This is followed by three Payout Phase spins where the Wild Reel is sticky and retains the collected multipliers. During the Payout Phase, Crispy & Chewy symbols can also appear as expanding wilds, but without multipliers and they are not sticky.

The game also offers a Bonus Buy feature in regions where it is allowed; players can directly purchase entry into any of the bonus rounds or activate other special variants. Possible purchases include the Stick to the Plan! bonus and the Who Shot the Sheriff? bonus, as well as variants that guarantee more Wild Posters or an increased chance to trigger bonuses.

The maximum win potential in Rusty & Curly is 10,000 times the stake. The mechanics of Wild Posters, hearts, and multipliers, along with the two distinct free spins bonuses, ensure that the game offers variety and tactical choices.
