Book of Witches

The game Book of Witches from Thunderspin is a video slot with a classic layout of 5 reels and 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines. The theme is magic and witches – symbols such as witches, black cats, ravens, cauldrons, and potions set the mood in the mystical environment with enchanted books and dark shadows. The game uses the wild/scatter symbol "Book," which can both replace other symbols and activate the Free Spins feature. When three or more Book symbols are obtained, the Free Spins function starts, awarding ten free spins. Before the free spins begin, a random symbol is chosen as the expanding "bonus symbol"; it can grow to cover the entire reel when enough matching symbols land for a winning combination. There is also the option to buy directly into the Free Spins feature via a Bonus Buy function, meaning players do not have to wait for the scatter symbols to appear. The game has high volatility and the maximum win goes up to approximately 1,000 times the bet. Letters and low-paying symbols are designed with suitable mystical details, while high value symbols have more expressive visual weight. There is no complicated bonus round beyond Free Spins with expanding symbols – Book of Witches focuses more on atmosphere and magic than on the number of extra features.
