Second Strike

Quickspin presents Second Strike, a video slot that features a nostalgic fruit-machine aesthetic. This game is designed on a 5-reel and 3-row grid with 10 fixed paylines. It showcases vibrant classic symbols such as cherries, plums, grapes, melons, bells, stars, lucky 7s, and diamonds, all set against a backdrop of striking graphics. In the base game, players will find a Wild symbol that can substitute for regular symbols, assisting in the creation of winning combinations. Notably, this game does not include a free spins round or a separate bonus game. The standout mechanic is the “Second Strike” feature, which activates whenever a player achieves a symbol win. An outer wheel surrounding the reels lights up the symbols involved in the winning line. If the wheel’s marker lands on one of these illuminated symbols, additional matching symbols are randomly added to the reels. The number of extra symbols corresponds to the size of the initial win, with three-of-a-kind adding 6 extras, four-of-a-kind providing 8, and five-of-a-kind yielding 10 extras. This allows for the possibility of a “second win” without requiring an additional spin. The game accommodates a wide range of bet sizes, appealing to players who prefer both lower stakes and higher wagers. With high volatility, wins may come less often but can be significantly enhanced when the Second Strike feature is activated.
