Book of the Forest

Book of the Forest by Spinoro is a video slot built on a classic “Book of” mechanic, laid out on a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 10 fixed paylines. The theme transports players into a magical woodland filled with animal characters—such as an owl, fox, bear, and bunny—alongside traditional playing-card symbols amidst lush forest scenery. The standout symbol is the enchanted Book, which doubles as both Wild (substituting for other symbols to help form winning combinations) and Scatter (paying regardless of position and triggering bonuses). Landing three or more Book symbols anywhere triggers a Free Spins bonus round, where 10 free spins are awarded. Before the free spins begin a single regular symbol is randomly selected as a Special Expanding Symbol: during the free spins this symbol can expand to cover entire reels when enough copies land, with high-value animal symbols needing fewer to trigger expansion than low paying card symbols. The free spins can be retriggered by landing additional Book symbols during the round, continuing the same expanding symbol. For players who don’t want to wait for the bonus, there is a Buy Feature allowing immediate access to the Free Spins round at the current bet level. The slot has medium-high volatility and multiple configurations of return settings depending on the operator.
