Hugo 2

Hugo 2, developed by Play’n GO, is a video slot featuring 5 reels and 10 paylines that showcases the adventures of Hugo the troll as he embarks on a mine-trolley journey to uncover hidden treasures. The game’s theme is inspired by a whimsical mining adventure, featuring eerie caves, the malevolent witch Afskylia, wood-chomping beavers, bags of gold, wild symbols, and multipliers. As the Wild symbol, Hugo substitutes for most other symbols and is also the highest-paying symbol when appearing across the paylines.

The game includes two primary bonus features. The first is the Troll Race Free Spins, which activates when three Beaver scatter symbols appear on reels 1, 3, and 5, granting 10 free spins. During this feature, players can benefit from the Beaver Cleaver mechanic, which may randomly award additional spins, allowing for retriggers within the free spins up to a maximum of 20. While in free spins, collecting special items such as wild bags or multiplier coins can add wild symbols to the reels or enhance wins with multipliers.

The second bonus feature is the Skull Cavern bonus game, which is triggered by landing three or more Afskylia scatter symbols during regular gameplay. The number of Afskylia symbols determines how many “lives” the player has—one, two, or three—which indicates the number of mistakes allowed before the round concludes. In this bonus game, players navigate through the cavern and ultimately select a key to unlock a treasure chest, with the total win for the round being multiplied based on the remaining lives.

Hugo 2 incorporates all essential features, including Wilds, Scatters, Free Spins, a Bonus Game, and Multipliers. There is no option to buy bonuses. The gameplay combines free spins with the potential for retriggers, mechanics that add wilds, and a path-selection bonus, creating a rich experience that aligns with the playful, nostalgic mining and treasure theme.
