Merlin: Journey of Flame

Merlin: Journey of Flame is a video slot from Play’n GO set in a dark, fantasy-filled environment where a young Merlin follows a dragon egg in search of magic and power. The game features a classic "Book of" mechanic with five reels and three rows in the base game, as well as ten fixed paylines. When the free spins mode is activated, a sixth reel opens, increasing the chances of bigger wins. A symbol choice is made before the free spins start: a randomly paying symbol becomes the Expanding Symbol and can expand to cover the entire reel when it contributes to a win. The dragon egg acts as both a Wild symbol and a Scatter – it replaces other symbols and triggers free spins if three or more appear in the base game. With three or more Scatter symbols in the base game, eight free spins are awarded, and additional scatters during the free rounds provide retriggers where more free spins are added. The game also includes a Gamble Spell where wins below a certain limit can be doubled by guessing the color of a hidden card, but there are limitations on how many times this feature can be used in succession. Merlin: Journey of Flame does not have a betting option for bonus buys — the bonus round can only be accessed by landing Scatter symbols in the base game. Design-wise, magical runes, book illustrations, and dragon eggs dominate, enhancing the mythical feel, while high-paying symbols benefit the free spins mode with higher potential rewards.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
