Prism of Gems by Play’n GO is a video slot with five vertical reels plus an extra horizontal “Multiplier Reel” above the three middle reels. The theme revolves around dazzling gemstones, featuring colors such as blue, green, yellow, and purple, and takes place under a beautiful glass dome that gives it a museum-like atmosphere.
Each spin can start with a base layout of 3-4-4-4-3 rows, but symbols on the top Multiplier Reel can split rows when they match the symbols below, allowing the grid to expand to a 3-7-7-7-3 layout. The Wild can only appear on the Multiplier Reel and in that case splits all symbols beneath it (except for the scatters) to increase the win lines.
Another feature is the multiplier connected to each of the three top positions of the Multiplier Reel: these start at x1 and increase by +1 with each cascade where the involved symbol generates wins. Multipliers can reach up to x7 per position and can be combined for a maximum of x343 when all three are involved in a win.
Prism of Gems has a cascade mechanism: winning symbols disappear, and new ones fall down to fill empty spaces, potentially causing new wins. Scatters activate the Free Spins feature: three scatters award free spins, and more scatters lead to extra spins (two spins per extra scatter).
During the Free Spins, the accumulated multipliers from the Multiplier Reel are retained and do not reset between spins, giving you greater opportunities to achieve high multipliers in that bonus round. There is no separate Bonus Buy feature; the game relies on the mentioned mechanisms to provide excitement and variety.
Prism of Gems offers a maximum win of up to 30,000× the bet, which is especially possible due to all the mentioned features coming together in the Free Spins round. The game is visually appealing, with brightly colored gemstones and a stylish background, and the gameplay dynamically alternates between standard spins and exciting features with the potential for large payouts.
You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
