Sails of Gold

Sails of Gold is a video slot by Play’n GO with five reels and ten fixed paylines, carrying an adventure theme inspired by Christopher Columbus’s voyage. The artwork blends maritime imagery with historical explorer symbolism: Columbus himself appears as the Wild symbol while lower-value symbols are styled after compass, telescope and ornate card icons. The Wild acts as a substitute for all standard symbols (but not Scatters), helping to complete wins in the base game.

Scatter symbols are represented by a ship motif that only lands on reels 1, 3 and 5. If three ship Scatters land simultaneously in the base game, players trigger ten Free Spins. During the Free Spins round, the ship Scatter symbol transforms into an extra Wild, boosting the potential to complete paylines. If during Free Spins three more ship Scatters appear again, the feature retriggers, awarding another ten Free Spins.

The game includes a Gamble feature after wins in the main game: after a winning spin, players can try to multiply their prize by guessing the colour or suit of a hidden card, and this can be repeated up to five times in a row. Betting options allow for variation in coin value and coins per line, and there is an Auto Play option for spins to play consecutively.

There is no bonus buy feature in Sails of Gold. The focus is on triggering Free Spins naturally through Scatter symbols and using the Wilds and retriggers to extend feature play. The maximum win potential comes through line wins involving the Wild symbol, particularly during Free Spins when Scatters turn Wild.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
