The Faces of Freya

The Faces of Freya by Play’n GO is a video slot laid out on a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 20 fixed paylines, based on Norse mythology and centred on Freya’s many faces. The game features Freya as a Wild symbol which substitutes for all regular symbols to help form or improve winning combinations. There is also a Scatter symbol in the form of Freya’s necklace (Brisingamen), which is key to triggering the bonus mechanics.

If you land three Scatter symbols, one of the three “Single Power” free spins rounds is triggered: Spins of Sorcery, Spins of Love or Spins of War. Each of these provides six free spins to start, and during that round, additional Scatters will add more spins. In Sovcery, low premium symbols like Shield & Axe, Wild Boar and Large Cats can be upgraded to higher-value symbols. In Love, extra Wilds are added randomly to the reels (between two and five per spin, with a maximum of one Wild per reel). In War, every win in the free spins round is boosted by a win multiplier that starts at 2× and can grow to 20× depending on how many Scatters are collected.

A special round called Folkvang is triggered by landing four or five Scatters in a spin. Folkvang runs through four levels: Sorcery, Love, War, and a Finale stage. You play five free spins in each of the first three levels collecting Scatters to unlock upgrades in symbol values, increase numbers of Wilds, or raise the multiplier. The final level gives you several spins (three or four depending on how many Scatters triggered the feature) during which all the bonuses earned in the earlier levels apply together. The Faces of Freya has a maximum win of up to 5,000× the bet.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
