Reign of Rome

Reign of Rome by Hacksaw is a video slot based on five reels with a 5×5 grid and 19 fixed paylines, set in the military might of the ancient Roman Empire, featuring iconography such as helmets, swords, eagles, and war elements that enhance the dramatic atmosphere. The game uses special symbols called Tribute, which come in four variants: Adding Tribute, Revealing Adding Tribute, Multiplying Tribute, and Revealing Multiplying Tribute; each type provides different values or multipliers that combine when forming a LootLine, where the values are added or multiplied based on their position.

Reign of Rome features a cascading mechanic: when a winning combination appears, the symbols disappear and others fall from above, potentially creating new combinations on the same spin. To activate the bonuses, Scatter symbols (helmet) are required at the base; with 3 Scatters, the Path to Power round is activated, granting 10 free spins with increased chances of high-value Tribute. If 4 Scatters land, the This Is Rome bonus appears, which also incorporates the LootBar, where Tributes that do not form part of a win but fall on a spin with at least one winning Tribute are stored under each reel; when all five positions of the LootBar are filled, their accumulated value is paid out.

The Fight for Glory bonus is activated with 5 Scatters, also offering 10 free spins but with the advantage that each position of the LootBar starts already preloaded with a 20× multiplier, and the stored Tributes increase those values; at the end of the round, a large prize is paid based on everything accumulated. In all these free spin rounds, additional Scatters can be obtained during the feature to win extra spins: 2 Scatters grant +2 spins, 3 Scatters grant +4.

The game also includes the option to directly purchase access to the bonuses, through Feature Buy where allowed by law. There are several purchase options or FeatureSpins: for example, BonusHunt (3× the bet) to increase the probability of activating a bonus, Shield Wall! and Spears Out! (50×) to guarantee Tribute or Revealing Tribute, and direct purchases of the Path to Power or This Is Rome bonuses for much higher bets.

Reign of Rome does not have a wild symbol, as it focuses on the Tributes and LootLines to drive winnings. The combination of progressive bonus mechanics, the LootBar, high multiplier Tributes, and cascades turns each spin into a possibility of climbing towards very high prizes.
