Champions of Rome

Champions of Rome by Yggdrasil is a video slot featuring five reels and three rows, along with 20 fixed paylines. Set in the ancient Roman arena of gladiators, the game showcases intricate symbols such as soldiers, weapons, coins, and predators. The "Gladiator Feature" activates in the base game when two scatter symbols appear; one of three gladiators is then selected, resulting in a specific wild formation: swords, mace, or trident, which places four wilds on the reels.

Triggering the Free Spins feature occurs when three or more scatters are landed, allowing players to choose between two modes: Training Free Spins or Deathmatch Free Spins. In the Training Free Spins mode, players receive eight free spins, with the gladiator wild feature activated on each spin, though without multipliers, and the opportunity to earn extra spins through the "Beast" symbol. The Deathmatch Free Spins mode presents a riskier option, offering choices like 7 spins with a 2× multiplier, 6 spins with a 3× multiplier, or 5 spins with a 4× multiplier.

During the Deathmatch, a minimum amount must be achieved for the game to pay out; if this is not met, a consolation prize or a transition to Training Mode is provided. The wild formation of the selected gladiator remains active at any time during the Free Spins, potentially leading to larger wins. Additionally, there is a Bonus Buy option that allows players to activate the free spins immediately for a set price, bypassing the need to land scatters first. The game is designed for both desktop and mobile devices, with its visual design and atmosphere enhanced by sound and graphics.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
