Mafioso

The game "Mafioso" by Yggdrasil is a video slot featuring a 6x6 grid and utilizes the Cluster Pays mechanic, where players achieve wins by grouping five or more adjacent identical symbols either horizontally or vertically. Set against the backdrop of the 1930s criminal underworld, the design includes elements like gangsters, police, classic cars, and weapons, all presented in a stylish noir palette of black, white, and red. Key features include Wild symbols that replace regular symbols, excluding the Scatter, and a Cascades function that removes winning symbols to allow new ones to fall into place, creating further winning opportunities.

A notable feature is the Hot Zone, a randomly highlighted area on the grid that can vary in size from 2x2 to 6x6. If at least one safe symbol lands within the Hot Zone, one of several enhancements is triggered: the entire area may turn into Wild symbols, spaces may fill with coins that have multiplier values, or if the Hot Zone reaches its maximum size, an instant multiplier prize is awarded. Additionally, all winnings from the Hot Zone are multiplied by the number of safes that appeared within it.

The game also includes a Free Spins round known as the "Stand-Off Bonus," which activates when three or more Scatter symbols appear on the reels. Depending on the number of Scatters collected (three, four, five, or six), players receive 10, 12, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. During these free spins, the Hot Zone remains active at all times. Each time safes appear within it, players can progress on a counter that, upon reaching certain thresholds, increases the size of the Hot Zone and awards additional free spins.

Furthermore, "Mafioso" offers a Bonus Buy option, allowing players to directly purchase the Free Spins round by paying a multiple of their bet, instantly activating the free spins without waiting for the natural appearance of Scatter symbols. The game features medium-high volatility and offers a maximum multiplier of up to 5,000 times the bet.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
