The Book of Amaterasu

In Mascot's video slot game, The Book of Amaterasu, players engage with a 5-reel, 3-row layout that features 10 fixed paylines. The game draws inspiration from Japanese mythology, focusing on Amaterasu, the sun goddess, and is set against beautiful backdrops that include cherry blossoms, temples, and other elements reflective of East Asian culture. A key element of the game is the Mystery Symbol, represented by a mystical book, which functions as both a Wild and Scatter symbol, initiating the main bonus feature.

The Free Spins round activates when three or more book symbols appear, granting players either 10, 15, or 20 free spins based on the number of symbols that landed. Prior to the start of the Free Spins, a regular symbol is randomly chosen to become the Special Expanding Symbol; this symbol expands to fill its entire reel whenever it contributes to a win during the bonus rounds. Players can also retrigger the Free Spins feature by landing additional book symbols, with the same Special Expanding Symbol remaining active.

Additionally, the game includes a Risk & Buy feature, allowing players to gamble their winnings for a chance to access the Free Spins round at a lower cost or to purchase entry directly into the Free Spins feature following a non-winning spin. The game's high volatility means that while payouts may occur less frequently, the potential for larger wins increases when features are activated. The Book of Amaterasu is crafted for those who appreciate traditional “Book of”-style slots, featuring bonus buys and special expanding symbols, all presented in a serene yet enchanting visual style.
