Dark Spiral

The game Dark Spiral by Hacksaw is a video slot with 6 reels and 4 rows, starting with 4,096 ways to win, but this number can increase to 331,776 thanks to the Summoning Symbols feature. The theme of the game is horror, with influences from anime and body horror, featuring dark environments, broken figures, and intense, unnatural transformations. The main mechanic is Cascading: when a win is achieved, the involved symbols disappear, the remaining ones fall down, and new ones appear in their place, increasing the chances of new wins.

The most notable feature is the Summoning Symbols, which appear on reels 2 to 5 in sizes of 1×2, 1×3, or 1×4 and reveal a stack of identical symbols or Wilds; the size determines how many symbols are stacked, for example, 6-12 symbols for the largest. If a Wild lands directly above or below a Summoning symbol on the same reel, the Summoning symbol expands to cover the Wild.

There are three types of free spins (bonus free spins): Shattered (activated with 3 scatter FS), Twisted (with 4), and Tortured Hidden Epic Bonus (with 5). Each round offers 10 free spins. In the Shattered mode, there is an increased chance of Summoning symbols appearing; in the Twisted mode, the Summoning symbols stick throughout the entire round; and in the Tortured Hidden Epic mode, the sticky symbols are retained, and it is guaranteed that at least two Summoning symbols will appear during the first spin.

The game also offers the option to buy a feature (Feature Buy), with options such as Bonushunt FeatureSpins, which increases the chance of activating a bonus, Summon the FeatureSpins that guarantees at least two Summoning symbols, and the direct purchase of Shattered or Twisted free spins at a fixed price that is a multiple of the bet.

The visual style and atmosphere of Dark Spiral are intensely oppressive and harsh; the use of monochrome colors with splashes of red and dark shades, as well as the strange, almost surreal symbols of the game, contribute to an experience that is far removed from traditional bright and cheerful slots. The maximum win potential can reach up to 10,000 times the bet, thanks to the Summoning mechanisms, enhanced free spins, and the increase in ways to win.
