Pushgaming's Mad Cars is a video slot featuring a grid of five reels and six rows, with fifty fixed paylines that immerse players in a gritty, post-apocalyptic car racing environment. Cars race from the bottom of the reels to the finish line at the top. The bottom row is where Instant Prize Car symbols appear, each carrying a bet multiplier value, and these can be advanced by Boost Reel symbols to reach the top row, where they award their prizes and cause other cars on the reels to spin off. The Boost Reel, positioned above the reels, can provide various enhancements such as “Gas” to move cars forward by 1-6 spaces, multipliers up to 100×, a combination of movement and multiplier boosts, and a “Survivor” booster that gives a car an extra life to avoid elimination if another car finishes first. The Boost Reel remains active during the Mad Bonus free spins, although the Survivor booster is not included; instead, new modifiers are introduced, such as “Line Up” which aligns all cars on the same row, “Persistent Payer” that shares its value with all other instant prize cars, “Persistent Collector” that gathers values from other cars, and a combination of both payer and collector. After the final free spin, there is a possibility for the Mad Race Feature, where all remaining Instant Prize Cars finish at the same time, awarding their values.

In jurisdictions where allowed, Mad Cars provides a Bonus Buy option, enabling players to purchase the Mad Bonus or its variants directly. These include the Payer Bonus, which guarantees the presence of a Persistent Payer from the outset, the Collector Bonus, or a Mystery Mad Bonus that randomly assigns one of the bonus variants, including the chance for both payer and collector to be combined.
