Gladius Death or Glory

Hacksaw's Gladius Death or Glory is a video slot characterized by high volatility and a 5×5 grid that does not utilize traditional paylines. The primary symbols in both the base game and bonus rounds are the Shield symbols, which rotate to reveal Bronze, Silver, or Gold coins, as well as special symbols like Collectors, Multipliers, or Bonus Scatter symbols. Bronze coins yield smaller multiples of your bet, while Silver coins offer medium payouts, and Gold coins provide larger values. Collector symbols collect all visible coin values and then reset those coins back into Shields for additional reveals if no other Collectors are present. Multipliers enhance all visible coin and Collector values by a factor ranging from ×2 to ×20.

To initiate the main bonus round, players must land three Bonus Scatter symbols, which activates the Death or Glory bonus. In this mode, any Shield symbols that appear become sticky for the duration of the bonus, and players start with three “lives.” A life is lost on spins that do not reveal a new Shield, but if a new Shield is found, the lives reset to three. During the bonus round, only Shield reveals occur, which can uncover Coins, Collectors, or Multipliers each spin, with no Scatters available. Additionally, there is a Feature Buy option that allows players to pay extra to trigger modified FeatureSpins—either at twice the stake to increase bonus chances or at 100× to fill the grid with Shields. Alternatively, players can directly buy into the Death or Glory bonus for 150× their stake. The game features a maximum win potential of up to 15,000× your stake, and its theme is inspired by Ancient Rome, showcasing stone-carved shields, a Colosseum-style design, and an epic soundtrack that enhances the gladiatorial experience.
