Jewel Bonanza

Pragmatic Play presents Jewel Bonanza, a video slot that operates on an 8×8 grid and employs cluster pays mechanics. In this game, players can earn payouts by connecting five or more matching gem symbols either horizontally or vertically. Rather than traditional free spins, Jewel Bonanza incorporates a tumble mechanic, where winning clusters disappear and new symbols cascade from above, creating opportunities for consecutive wins within a single spin.

A notable feature of the game is its spin modifiers, which activate randomly. During certain spins, colored markers appear behind select symbols, and if a winning cluster forms over these markers, a special modifier is triggered following the tumble sequence. These modifiers include “Nuclear,” which clears the entire grid, “Wild Gem,” which transforms all symbols of a random type into wilds, “Squares,” which introduces 2×2 blocks of matching symbols, “Colossal Symbols,” which adds large blocks ranging from 3×3 to 5×5, and “Lucky Wilds,” which scatters multiple wilds across the grid.

The primary bonus feature is Gold Fever, a progressive element linked to a meter that fills with winning symbols collected during tumbles. Once the meter reaches its capacity (approximately 114 symbols), Gold Fever activates at Level 1, providing a 2× multiplier and ensuring that all spin modifiers are triggered in sequence. Players can advance through Levels 2, 3, 4, and up to Level 5 by collecting additional symbols, with each level offering increased multipliers, culminating in a 10× multiplier at Level 5. If players do not gather enough symbols for the next level, the bonus concludes with any wins accumulated.

In markets where it is permitted, Jewel Bonanza includes a bonus buy option, allowing players to pay around 100× their stake to directly access the Gold Fever bonus mode, skipping the meter-filling process of the base game.

The game's theme features sparkling gems set against an Aztec temple backdrop, creating a treasure-hunt atmosphere with vivid colors and intricate stone-carved details. Wild symbols are introduced through some spin modifiers rather than appearing as standard symbols, heightening the excitement when modifiers are activated.

In summary, Jewel Bonanza offers a high-volatility, feature-rich slot experience that emphasizes modifier-driven gameplay and a progressive bonus system, moving away from conventional free spin rounds.
