Gold Trio: Zones™

The Gold Trio: Zones™ from Playtech is a video slot with a 5-reel, 3-row grid and 30 fixed paylines. The theme of the game features strong elements of a Mexican carnival; vibrant colors, mariachi peppers, music, and Latin rhythms create a festive atmosphere. In the base game, “Wild” symbols appear, substituting for all regular symbols except for the special “Coloured Coins,” which are crucial for activating the Gold Trio Respins feature.

The Coloured Coins are divided into three color categories (Green, Red, and Orange); when they land in the base game, they fill corresponding tanks (“pots”) above the reels, and when the feature is activated, they can bring special benefits. The Gold Trio Respins feature is randomly activated based on the filling of the tanks with Coloured Coins and initially offers three respins. Each new coin that “locks” resets the respin counter back to 3.

During the Gold Trio Respins, the grid is divided into zones with multipliers, e.g., 2×, 3×, 4×, or 5×; if a zone completely fills with coins, the corresponding multiplier is applied to all coins within the zone. Cash Prize Coins carry instant values, while Mystery Prize Coins award a mystery “Mild,” “Medium,” or “Hot” title. If the entire grid fills with coins, the Xtra Hot prize is awarded.

There is an Extra Bet mode that increases the bet by a percentage and improves the chances of activating the Gold Trio Respins without changing the payout structure. A Buy Feature is also offered, allowing you to enter the Respins feature directly; you can choose which of the tanks will be active by paying a multiple of the base bet.

There are no free spins rounds in Gold Trio: Zones™, nor a progressive jackpot; the prizes are fixed (“fixed jackpots”) through the game features. The multiplier features, selected tanks, and the Respins mechanic offer rich opportunities for action and strategic user choices.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
