Gold Trio: Santa Surprise™

Gold Trio: Santa Surprise™ from Playtech is a video slot with a classic 5×4 reel setup and 30 fixed paylines. The theme is festive for Christmas, with snow-covered surroundings, bells, gifts, and colorful coins creating a warm and golden shimmering holiday atmosphere. The game centers around the Gold Trio Respins feature, a Hold & Win mechanic that is activated when you land one, two, or all three different colored coin symbols and a total of five coins on the reels.

The colored coins act as modifiers: blue coin (Expand) expands the reels by adding extra rows, purple coin (Multiply) doubles all coins in play at that moment, and green coin (Collect) gathers all cash values displayed. During respins, it starts with three respins and five locked coins, and each time a new coin lands on the reels, the respins counter resets. If you fill the entire board with coins during respins, you receive the Grand Jackpot of 1,000× your stake.

Another feature is the Santa Feature, which can occur both in the base game and during respins. In the base game, Santa can randomly add Wilds or colored coins to increase the chance of triggering Gold Trio Respins. During respins, he can upgrade cash coins to higher values or to Mystery Prize Coins, or convert cash coins into active colored coins. There are also mystery coin symbols that only appear during respins and provide fixed jackpots: Mini, Minor, or Major prizes.

The game includes a Buy Feature that allows you to pay a fixed amount based on your stake to trigger Gold Trio Respins directly, with the option to start with one, two, or all three colored coins active. The Wild symbol in the game – the bell – can appear stacked and acts as a regular wild to form winning combinations. The game offers autoplay mode so you can initiate multiple spins automatically. The volatility is high, meaning that wins can be uneven and larger wins come less frequently.

You can try it for free in demo mode or play it for real money.
