Playtech's video slot, Solar Eclipse: Northern Winds™, presents a captivating layout consisting of 5 reels and 3 rows, complemented by 25 fixed paylines. Set against the backdrop of the frozen Arctic, the game features imagery of wolves, polar bears, seals, and a native hunter, with glaciers and the northern sky enhancing the atmosphere. Within the game, players will encounter two types of Wild symbols: the Sun Wild and the Eclipse Wild, both of which can substitute for all symbols except for the Scatter and Moon symbols. The Moon symbol is particularly significant as it plays a vital role in triggering the Solar Eclipse feature.
This feature is initiated when Moon, Sun, or Eclipse symbols land on separate reels. The Sun Wild can transform into the Moon, revealing a cash prize, while the Moon itself can either provide a cash prize or activate the Mini, Minor, or Lunar Bonus. If three Eclipse Wilds appear during the Solar Eclipse feature, players are awarded a progressive Solar Jackpot, while one or two Eclipse symbols will trigger the Jackpot Bonus.
The Free Games feature is triggered by landing three or more Scatter symbols, granting 8 free spins, with the potential for reactivation if additional Scatter symbols appear. Throughout these free spins, the Sun and Eclipse Wild symbols become "sticky," remaining active for the duration of the spins. Additionally, reels 3, 4, and 5 may randomly change into special reels that contain only Wild and Scatter symbols.
The Jackpot Bonus feature activates when one or two Eclipse symbols are present during the Solar Eclipse feature. A mechanism with balls appears, where blue and sun balls reveal numbers that combine to award a prize based on the counter. This feature allows players the chance to win the Mini Bonus, Minor Bonus, or the main Solar Jackpot.
There is no option for Bonus Buy in Solar Eclipse: Northern Winds™, ensuring that the gaming experience relies solely on the features provided without the possibility of purchasing additional features.
You can play it for real money.
