Lunar Link: Phoenix Moons™ by Playtech is a video slot that showcases a 5-reel setup with 30 paylines, drawing inspiration from an oriental theme. The game includes symbols like the golden moon, blue moon, Buddha, money bag, and turtle. Wild symbols in the game can replace nearly all other symbols, excluding the Scatter, Golden Moon, and Blue Moon. The Scatter symbol, depicted as a golden phoenix against a purple backdrop, triggers free spins when 3, 4, or 5 are landed, resulting in an instant payout and granting 6 free spins, which can be retriggered with more Scatters.
During the Free Spins, reels 2, 3, and 4 are bordered in blue, causing any Wild or Moon symbol that lands on these reels to expand and cover the entire reel, enhancing winning opportunities or activating the Hold & Respin feature. The appearance of a Golden Moon in either the base game or Free Spins unlocks the Lunar Link Wheel feature, where a wheel above the reels is spun to award multipliers that apply to cash prizes on the Golden Moon reel.
The Hold & Respin feature is triggered when 6 or more Moon symbols land anywhere on the reels, or just 5 if the Extra Bet mode is active. This feature transforms the grid into a 3-3-3-4-6 layout and provides 3 respins, which reset with each new Moon symbol that appears and remains locked. If a Golden Moon was part of the activation, the Lunar Link wheel is spun first. Filling the first 4 reels with Moon symbols activates a Special Wheel Spin, offering cash prizes, multipliers, or Mini, Minor, or Major jackpots.
The progressive jackpot known as the Lunar Link Grand Jackpot can be won during the Hold & Respin feature if a Grand Moon symbol appears on the last unlocked reel. The Extra Bet mode increases the wager but reduces the number of Moon symbols needed to trigger the Hold & Respin feature to just 5.
Additionally, a Mystery Feature may randomly occur during the base game, where a phoenix flies in to add stacked Moon or Wild symbols to the reels, further enhancing the chances of winning or entering the Hold & Respin mode. In summary, Lunar Link: Phoenix Moons™ presents a variety of features, including free spins with expanding symbols, a bonus wheel, the Hold & Respin feature with jackpot opportunities, an Extra Bet mode, and a mysterious effect that introduces Moon and Wild symbols for added excitement.
