Hot Gems™

Hot Gems™ by Playtech is a video slot with five reels and three rows, featuring 25 fixed paylines and a mining theme. In the game, colorful gemstones, lanterns, pickaxes, and a prospector appear alongside more common jewels. The Wild symbol can be found on reels two, three, and four and substitutes for regular winning symbols, while the Hot Gems™ logo acts as a Scatter that can award wins anywhere on the reels. To activate a bonus round with 15 free spins, a separate free spins symbol must land on reels one, three, and five simultaneously. During these free spins, a collapsing reels mechanic (or tumbling symbols) is active: all winning symbols explode and are removed, allowing new symbols to fall into place and potentially create additional wins. There is also an increasing multiplier in the free spins feature that starts at 1× and increases by one for each collapse, up to a maximum of 5×. Once the free spins feature has started, it cannot be reactivated. In the paytable, mines, lanterns, carts, pickaxes, and gemstones have different values, with the mine (prospector) offering the highest possible win for matching five of a kind. The overall design is in a cartoon style, bright and colorful, with sound effects and animations related to tumbling and bonuses to provide the classic feel of gemstone mining.
