Faust

Novomatic's Faust is a video slot that features 5 reels and 10 paylines, inspired by the renowned Faust legend by Goethe. The game presents a dark, gothic aesthetic with symbols that include portraits of Faust, Gretchen, and Mephisto, as well as items like pots and scales. Mephisto acts as both a Wild and a Scatter symbol, substituting for others unless in a scatter scenario. When three or more Mephisto symbols appear on the reels, players activate the free spins feature. Before the free spins begin, a special symbol is selected to expand; this symbol will cover the entire reel and pay out regardless of where it lands during the free spins. Furthermore, if three or more Scatter symbols appear again during this feature, the free spins can be re-triggered. The maximum payout in Faust can reach up to 5,000 times the stake per payline. There is no separate bonus round aside from the free spins, and no multiplier feature apart from the expanding symbol. The game's graphics and atmosphere contribute to its dramatic and mysterious theme. With high volatility, Faust suggests that while wins may occur infrequently, they can be significant when bonuses are activated.
