Rival presents Dark Hearts, a video slot featuring a classic 5-reel, 3-row setup that offers 243 ways to win. The game intertwines themes of gothic horror and romantic intrigue, showcasing a cursed love triangle involving vampires Viktor, Marcus, and Willow. Players will encounter symbols such as roses, chalices, crosses, and bitten lips, all set against a dark and moody visual backdrop, complemented by a soundtrack that deepens the eerie ambiance of this romance-horror tale.
In Dark Hearts, the Wild symbol is depicted by “Love Bite” lips, which can replace regular symbols to help form winning combinations, though they do not substitute for scatters. The Scatter symbol, represented by a lock and key, activates a free spins choice feature when three or more appear anywhere on the reels.
Once the free spins round is activated, players select one of the three vampire characters, each providing a unique mix of spins and multipliers. Viktor offers 30 free spins with a 1× multiplier, Willow provides 15 free spins with a 2× multiplier, and Marcus gives 10 free spins with a 3× multiplier. Bets can be placed from a minimum of 0.30 to a maximum of 75.00 per spin, allowing players to utilize all 243 winning ways in each round.
The paytable features low-value symbols ranging from A to 9 cards, while high-value symbols consist of character portraits (Willow, Viktor, Marcus), a chalice, and the game’s logo “DH,” which yields the highest payout when five appear in a winning line. There is no option for a bonus-buy feature; all bonus rounds and multipliers must be activated through the normal gameplay by landing scatter symbols.
Beyond the free spins and wild features, Dark Hearts does not include any additional bonus rounds, such as pick-and-win games or separate second screen bonuses, aside from the Player’s Choice Chamber for selecting the character for free spins. The game is designed to be fully compatible with mobile devices, ensuring smooth gameplay across various platforms.
You can play it for real money.
