Seasons by Yggdrasil is a video slot with 5 reels and 20 fixed paylines, set in a forest that changes scenery through the four seasons of the year. The theme is strongly naturalistic: the seasons of winter, spring, summer, and autumn dominate the gameplay, each with its own animal Wild and a characteristic background. Within the base game, after at least ten spins in one season, the seasonal mode can randomly switch to another season when a new bet is placed.

Each season offers a special Wild with a unique mechanic: in winter, the Wild rabbit duplicates by choosing the best position to maximize the win; in spring, the Wild owl awards a respin and moves randomly straight or diagonally as long as it remains visible; in summer, the Wild deer expands in a "cross pattern," adding Wilds in adjacent positions; in autumn, the Wild fox applies a random multiplier to the spin wins, which increases if more Wilds appear simultaneously.

The game also features a Free Spins mode activated by Scatter symbols: three symbols trigger seven free spins, four Scatters lead to fifteen, and five grant thirty Free Spins. The Free Spins take place in the same season in which the activation occurred, keeping the seasonal Wild mechanic active more frequently.
