New Year Rising

"New Year Rising" from Ruby Play features a video slot design with a grid consisting of 5 reels and 4 rows, offering 50 fixed paylines. The game is themed around the celebration of Chinese New Year and includes premium symbols such as tangerines, lotus flowers, drums, gold coins, red envelopes, and a tiger. A Wild symbol represented by firecrackers can replace regular paying symbols, although it does not substitute for coins or scatters. The Scatter symbol is depicted as a scroll calendar, and landing three or more of these activates the Free Games feature, which grants 10 free spins. During this round, any prize coin that appears immediately awards its shown value. A key highlight of the game is the Jackpot Mania Rising feature; when four or more prize coin symbols appear in either the base game or during free spins, additional locked rows are added, and players receive three respins. Each new coin that lands resets the respin counter and can unlock more rows, potentially leading to jackpots. There are four fixed jackpots available—Mini, Minor, Major, and Mega—based on the number of coins collected during this feature. Wild symbols do not play a role in triggering jackpots, and there is no option to buy Free Games or bonuses directly. The game offers medium-to-high volatility with a maximum win potential of up to 2,000 times the initial bet.
