Return of the Dead

Return of the Dead is a video slot machine designed by Pragmatic Play in the "Book of" style, set on a grid of 5 reels and 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines. The theme transports you to the heart of ancient Egypt: pyramids, glowing sand, hieroglyphic symbols, and a fearless adventurer are all present to create an atmosphere of mysterious tombs. The game includes a book symbol that plays a dual role: as a Wild, it can substitute for other symbols to help form winning combinations, and as a Scatter, it triggers free spins when at least three appear anywhere on the reels. Once the free spins are activated, ten Free Spins are awarded, and before they start, a regular symbol is randomly chosen to become the "special expanding symbol." During the Free Spins, if this symbol appears on multiple reels, it can expand vertically to cover the entire height of the reel, even if its position is not adjacent on the usual reels. There is also a retrigger feature: during the Free Spins, obtaining three book symbols (Scatter) again awards ten additional free spins, with no limit on retriggers. Return of the Dead does not include a bonus buy feature. The game has high volatility, meaning wins may occur less frequently but can be larger during the Free Spins feature, especially when a high-value symbol is designated as the special expanding symbol.
