Boofa

Boofa by Apollo Play is a video slot with an Ancient Egypt “Book of” theme that combines classic slot mechanics with bonus-rich extras. The game is laid out on 5 reels and 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines, with symbols including card ranks, scarabs, Aset icons, golden masks, and adventurers. Boofa’s central special symbol is the Book, which acts as both Wild and Scatter: landing three or more of them triggers a Free Spins round of ten spins. Before these Free Spins begin one regular symbol is chosen at random to become Expanding during the feature; when enough of that symbol appear it can expand to fill full reels and create wins even when not adjacent.

In addition to Free Spins, there are two bonus features: the Scarab Bonus and the Aset Bonus. The Scarab Bonus is a pick-and-win game activated by landing three highlighted scarab symbols, awarding an instant prize. The Aset Bonus is triggered by three highlighted Aset symbols and involves spinning two bonus wheels—one to determine a prize value, the other to award a multiplier to that prize. Boofa does not offer a progressive jackpot, but its maximum win from a single winning combination is 500× the bet.

Visually, Boofa uses a darker palette compared to many Egyptian-themed slots—deep browns, ochres, and charcoal tones dominate, giving it a more mysterious tomb-like atmosphere. Sound design features subtle ambient tones that build tension especially when the Book symbol appears or bonus rounds are nearing. Bet sizes range from relatively low stakes up to moderate, making the slot appealing both to casual players and those seeking bigger returns via the bonus features. Autoplay is available, allowing consecutive spins without manual intervention.
